2nd FPSO to produce 75,000 barrels of crude per day for 20 years.

    The second FPSO is expected to begin storing and producing oil from the TEN fields from mid-2016. The FPSO is expected to produce some 75,000 barrels of crude per day initially for 20 years.

    Tullow Ghana Limited General Manager Charles Darko told an Accra based Radio that the TEN projects were ahead of schedule. “The TEN project is progressing steadily. We have just cross the 50% oval project completion and it’s on track. One of the key elements which is the FPSO is also progressing and we are expecting that by the end of this year it will be in Ghanaian waters so it’s on track. It will ramp up to it main plate of about 75,000 barrels per day, any time from mid-2016 to December 2016,” he explained.

    Charles Darko disclosed that the first wells to deliver the oil have been drilled and that Tullow is committed to meeting its targets.

    The second FPSO being built in Singapore will have an oil storage capacity of 1.7 million barrels and a gas capacity and water injection capacity of 170mn standard cubic feet daily and 120,000 barrels water daily respectively.
