Welcome to a series of online discussion on Ghana’s oil and gas sector.
Over a three-month period (September to November 2013), we are going to be having online interactions focusing on key themes such as: Promoting Local (Ghanaian) Content in petroleum activities: Where does Ghana Stands? Secrecy around the GNPC; Oil and gas as an asset not an income; Contracting provisions in the Petroleum (Exploration and Production) Bill; Financing for and operations of the Public Interest and Accountability Committee (PIAC); and many more.
These discussions form part of the “Empowering the Media to play an active Watchdog Role over Oil and Gas Revenue and Resources” project. For our first discussion, which will commence on Monday September 9, 2013, we are going to focus on “Promoting Local (Ghanaian) Content in petroleum activities: Where does Ghana stand?
