  • Exprotech Group, a leading provider of well-testing services and completion flow-backs, which has been in operation for than 30 years, is partnering with Bell Oil and Gas Limited, an indigenous oil and gas services company to enhance local content development.

The Manging Director, Bell Oil and Gas, Mr Kayode Thomas, said in Abuja, during the official flag off of the partnership that the objective of the partnership is to encourage and boost local content development in the country.

Thomas said the two companies were coming together to offer excellent service delivery in the oil and gas industry, adding that is an indication of how Nigeria content can work.

He said the objective and focus of their alliance is to create a positive awareness for Bell Oil and Gas as a fast-growing indigenous oil services company and then for Expro as international oil services company committed to Nigerian content development.

Thomas said the alliance between Bell Oil and Gas and Expro is a shining example of how an international company with technology, technical expertise and a commitment to local talent development can come together with a young, dynamic, fast growing and focused indigenous company to jointly deliver best-in-class services to its customers.

He noted that by combining Multiphase Flow Metering Technology from Bell Oil & Gas with Expro’s array of well testing solutions, the alliance is poised to deliver comprehensive well testing services at unprecedented levels.

He further said the Nigerian Content Act is serving as a real impetus for international companies operating or willing to operate in Nigeria to focus more on developing capacity and talent in-country by collaborating with credible indigenous companies. Clearly this is a real positive development not only for the Nigerian oil industry, but for the entire Nigerian economy.

Bell Oil & Gas was incorporated in 2002 and has experienced unprecedented growth and owned 100 per cent by Nigerians and is one of the very few ISO-certified Nigerian companies with facilities in Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Warri, combined with supply, installation, pre-fabrication, installation, commissioning and maintenance capabilities.

Thomas confirmed that the company was incorporated in Ghana in 2010 and won its first contract in Angola the same year, thus further demonstrating its growth even beyond the shores of Nigeria.

"By taking advantages of best practices across the industry, we are able to provide best-in-class services. Bell Oil & Gas Limited has turnkey capabilities through expert network of strategic foreign technical partners.

"We also have established affiliations with reputable Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), thereby ensuring that all our products are sourced directly from the manufacturers," he said.

Thomas said for Bell Oil and Gas to be differentiating its selves from others, we emphasize our technical expertise, customer focus, on-time delivery, competitiveness, and partnerships with world class companies, quality and speed of service, and professionalism.

The Managing Director, Exprotech Group of Company, Mr. John Wright who is the managing partner of Bell Oil and Gas said the agreement to partner with Bell Oil and Gas has been sealed since last year, adding that the objective of the company is to enhance local companies in Nigeria.

Wright said that indigenous companies and Nigeria oil and gas industry will benefit immensely from the partnership because contracts would be given to Nigerian companies.

Wright said that Expro is one of the largest well testing companies in the world, providing a range of well flow management solutions around the world for over 35 years, adding that Expro’s core services include surface well testing, production systems (including early production facilities), subsea safety systems, DST-TCP, Wireline Intervention and clamp-on meters, among others.
