Some workers of MODEC Ghana Limited, the company that operates and manages the country’s oil production platform, the FPSO Kwame Nkrumah, have begun a sit-down strike to demand for better conditions of service.
It is on this note that the Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa North, Hon. Kwabena Amankwah Asiamah, has urged the Ghanaian workers to quit their jobs if their handlers aren’t ready to better their salaries.
He claims such working conditions don’t motivate a black skinned person in the midst of whites. “Such things make the black man think the white is always superior… as a black skinned person, when you hear of such cases it makes you feel indignant and you wonder if comfort was created for only the whites”.
