  • oil and gas 17thGhana’s oil exports have increased by almost 50 percent. This is according to the Monitory Policy Committee of the Bank of Ghana.

The committee revealed that the country’s oil exports increased by 47.7 percent to US$2. 0 billion by the end of the first half of this year.

The impressive improvement has been attributed to the increase in production by the Jubilee Partners.

Field production on the Jubilee field has steadily increased since 2012.

In January of this year the field was producing 104,000 barrels of oil per day.

According to Tullow oil’s latest half year results jubilee oil production is currently at a rate of around 110,000 barrels of oil per day.

Tullow which is also the operator of the field says it expects production from the Jubilee oil field to increase to more than 120,000 after work on a gas handling constraint on the FPSO is completed by late September.
