GNPC OIL & GAS; CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

  • gnpc 2GNPC Oil and Gas Learning Foundation is an autonomous entity set up to ensure the training of citizens of Ghana for the development of national capacity in all aspects of petroleum operations. The Foundation is now calling for applications from eligible Ghanaians who wish to benefit from its scholarships

    Eligibility Criteria
    Applicants for Masters Degree Programme Must:
    •   Be a citizen of Ghana

    •   Ideally have a minimum of Second Class Upper Division, Bachelor’s Degree

    •   Secure admission into a recognized University in the host country

    •   Not be more than 35 years old

    •   Demonstrate commitment to return (if programme is undertaken outside Ghana) to Ghana upon completion of the course to contribute to national development

    •   Have successfully completed the National Service Scheme;

    •   Show documentary evidence of continuing enrolment in the academic Programme. This will be required from the Registrar of beneficiary’s University during the tenure of the programme

    Applicants For Doctoral [PhD] Degree Programme Must
    •   Be a citizen of Ghana

    •   Have Master’s Degree in relevant discipline

    •   Secure admission into a recognized university in the country of study

    •   Not be a beneficiary of scholarship administered by another institution

    •   Note more than forty [40] years of age

    •   Have a letter of consent from a proposed supervisor

    •   An applicant for a doctoral programme may be required to submit a research proposal. An applicant who is continuing a doctoral programme must provide all required documentary evidence

    Applicants for Bachelor’s Degree Programme Must:
    •   Be a citizen of Ghana

    •   Undertake the programme in Ghana

    •   Secure admission into a recognized university in Ghana to pursue a course of study in; Geosciences, Petroleum Engineering, Oil and Gas related discipline

    •   Not be more than twenty [25] years of age

    •   Not be current beneficiary of scholarship administered by another institution

    •   Demonstrate commitment to enroll in the National Service Scheme upon completing the Programme

    NOTE: The eligibility criteria are subject of Modification without notice

    APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
    Applicants must provide the following
    •   Application for Scholarship/Financial Assistance signed by applicant

    •   Applicant’s Resume/Curriculum Vitae [CV]

    •   Copy of Relevant Academic [Degree/HND] Certificate Transcript of Academic Record

    •   Copy of Admission Letter – from University applicant plans to attend. [Applicable to enrolment in undergraduate, postgraduate programmes, and Tertiary institutions [for relevant Technician training];

    •   Detail of all Course related Costs

    •   Copy of Course Modules [also provide Links to website]

    •   Statement of Purpose : Choice of Academic Programme and Relevance to local/national economy/environment, career objective, outline of plan to apply new/specific knowledge and skills to be acquired upon completing the programme

    •   A photocopy of applicant’s Bio-date page of passport

    •   A copy of the National Service Certificate

    •   Must present Originals of: Academic Certificates; Transcript of Academic Record; Bio-data page of passport; National Service Certificate for verification upon request

    •   Letter of consent/support from present employer to confirm applicant is eligible for Study leave and that he/she will return to current employment where applicable

    •   Successful applicants will be required to provide additional information/materials, including two passport pictures, execution of a BOND would also be required from successful applicants

    SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS
    •   The scholarship will cover tuition fees and other expenses
