  • The Ghana National Petroleum Commission (GNPC) and a philanthropic couple based in the United States of America (USA), Wayne and Claire Heyland, have presented a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine worth $1.6million to the FOCOS Orthopaedic Hospital.

The MRI, which is the latest addition to a state-of the-art CT scanner and other X-Ray machines, will enhance the capacity of the 70-bed hospital to diagnose and treat various musculoskeletal conditions.

“This campaign and GNPC initiative is a perfect example of how, through working together in a Private-Public Partnerships, we can make a difference for the sustainability of an institution like FOCOS,” he said.

He pledged to ensure that the MRI facility is put to good use to ensure that people with peculiar orthopaedic disorders reap the benefits.
