  • fpsoThe Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) has said that it is open to an arrangement to supply crude oil from the Tweneboah-Enyenra-Ntomme (TEN) field to the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) for refining.

Tullow Oil and others are expected to pump about 23,000 barrels of oil per day from TEN at the initial production stages and gradually ramp up to 80,000 barrels per day. The TEN fields hold some two billion barrels of oil.

Chief Executive of the GNPC Alex Mould on Wednesday said once the necessary procedures are finalised, TOR can start receiving crude from the TEN fields.

He expressed confidence that crude oil from the TEN fields can be refined at Tema.

“GNPC has been discussing with the refinery (TOR) and BOST to see how we can have our crude oil refined in the refinery (TOR). GNPC’s crude oil, the Jubilee crude, and the TEN blend is crude oil that can be refined in the refinery,” he explained in an interview on Joy FM.
