GOIL equips dealers with downstream modern marketing trend

  • goilGhana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) the nation’s foremost indigenous oil marketing company (OMC), has equipped its dealers in the southern and Tema zones with modern trends in downstream oil marketing.

    The more than 120 dealers in GOIL products as well as some zonal managers who attended the conference were schooled in safety measures, equipped to improve on downstream business operation.

    Mr Patrick Akpe Kwame Akorli, GOIL Group Executive Officer noted that as the foremost indigenous Ghanaian oil marketing company, “GOIL is proud of its achievements over the years”.

    “We are now the country’s leading Oil Marketing Company. We have been recognised by the Ghana Investment Promotions Centre, the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana, Association of Ghana Industries, Ghana Entrepreneurs Association, and many other prestigious bodies and national organisations.

    “We have achieved these without sacrificing health and safety standards as well as the quality of our products. GOIL means business and we have taken a significant step in attaining ISO certification and ratification,” he said.

    Mr Akorli who is also GOIL managing Director said the future looked bright as the company takes giant steps in expanding aviation fuel facilities, investing in bunkering storage, and the building of Liquefied Natural Gas and Bitumen plants.

    He said: “We believe that with the continued support of Ghanaians through the use of their purchasing power, GOIL will continue to grow to become a successful Multinational Oil Company”.

    The GOIL Chief Executive urged Ghanaians to continue to support GOIL with their purchasing power.

    Mr Alex Josiah Adzew, GOIL Chief Operating Officer said the company  would continue adhere to the marketing of quality petroleum and other energy products and services in all its branches in an ethical, healthy, safe, environmentally friendly and socially responsible manner.

    He said in 2017, GOIL would enhance its production and manufacturing of goods or services, which enhanced and support the marketing, distribution and sale of the company’s products and services.

    Mr Adzew said as Ghanaian foremost indigenous OMC, GOIL stood to maintain and provide world-class goods and services in the petroleum and other areas of the energy industry.

    He gave the assurance that customers of GOIL of quality products and safety at stations.

    Mr Marcus Deo Dake, GOIL Head of Fuels Marketing, charged dealers to improve on services at their various stations to ensure high customer satisfaction.

    He said GOIL would continue to make safety and environmental issues a priority and this would be intensified this year.
