  • Mr. Emmanuel Kofi Buah, Deputy Minister for Energy, has presented an oil and gas pick-up van for capacity building to the Kikam Technical Institute (KIMTECH) in the Ellembelle District to facilitate activities of the Institute.

This follows the choice of KIMTECH by the Government to train the required manpower to feed the oil and gas industry.

Presenting the keys to the Principal of the school, Mr. Buah who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembelle, said the Government had made adequate provisions and the necessary preparations for a smooth take-off for the oil and gas programme in the Institute.

He also donated 16 street bulbs to KIMTECH to illuminate the school and ensure security during the night and promised to get the school painted to give it a general facelift.

Receiving the keys to the van, the Principal of KIMTECH, Mr J.D. Appiah, lauded the effort of Mr Buah for his avowed commitment to good quality education delivery in the area, being his third visit to the school this year.

Mr. Appiah assured the MP that the vehicle would be put to good use.

The Board Chairman of the school, Mr Someah Addae, commended the MP for his commitment to education and appealed to him to help the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) complete an assembly hall and a dining hall complex it had initiated to cater for the increasing enrollment.

Mr. Addae asked the students to appreciate the works of the MP and pray for him to bring more development to the school.
