News Headlines review for September 11

  • On Monday September 11th, Citifmonline reported ‘US storms to trigger petroleum price hikes’.  According to the online news portal the Current developments in the U.S including Tropical Storm Harvey are likely to push the prices of fuel up in Ghana in the second pricing window.The Institute of Energy Security (IES), has predicted of stable prices in the first pricing window in September.

    Also Myjoyonline disclosed ‘Tullow Ghana Limited wins 2 STCCI local content awards’. This they further explained that the Sekondi-Takoradi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (STCCI) adjudging Tullow Ghana Limited, winner of two local content awards at the just ended dinner event held last week.  The Local Content Awards Dinner took place at the Best Western Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi on September 7.

    Meanwhile, the Institute of Energy has cautioned gov’t to constitute the VRA board. This was reported on the online portal of Classfmonline ‘Constitute VRA Board: IES tells gov’t
