The Accra-based news house, Citifmonline reported ‘ITLOS team to receive national awards – Nana Addo”.
According to the news portal , President Nana Akufo-Addo has announced plans to bestow national honors on the legal team that ensured victory at the International Tribunal of the Law of the Sea (ITLOS), in the maritime dispute with Cote d’Ivoire“… let me express, again, the gratitude of our nation to all of you, and I am sure that, at the appropriate time, national honours will be duly conferred,” he said at the Flagstaff House on Thursday night, at a ceremony to celebrate the legal victory.

They further explaied that the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has paid glowing tribute to successive presidents and governments who, he said, played important roles, over the years, in ensuring a favourable verdict was handed down by the International Tribunal on the Law of the Sea (ITLOS).
According to President Akufo-Addo, “this victory could not have been achieved through the actions of one person, one political party or one government. It has been a collective effort, and the important roles played by successive Presidents and governments, should not be overlooked, discounted or understated.

The state owned news portal has disclosed that “Planning Ministry to track oil revenue expenditure”.The Ministry of Planning is working with other government agencies to roll out the Petroleum Revenues Information System (PRIS) aimed at ensuring effective spending of oil revenues on infrastructure projects. The PRIS, also seeks to enhance transparency, while building capacity of district planners to monitor and evaluate oil funded projects. It will also make data available to civil society organisations and all stakeholders to help track oil-funded projects.
