    GHANA ELECTRICITY SECTOR SUPPORT PROJECT (GESSP/GEDAP III)

    DESIGN, SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF MINI-GRID ELECTRIFICATION FOR ADA EAST DISTRICT OF THE GREATER-ACCRA REGION

    The Government of Ghana has received a grant from the Government of the Swiss Confederation through the State Secretariat for Economic  Affairs (SECO) toward the cost of the Ghana Electricity  Sector Support Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the Contract for Design, Supply and Installation of Mini-Grid Electrification for Ada East  District of the Greater-Accra Region.

    The GEDAP Secretariat now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Design, Supply and Installation of Mini Grid Electrification for Ada East District of the Greater-Accra Region.

    NATURE OF ACTIVITIES

    The detailed scope of work in all the locations shall in general cover, notwithstanding anything else contained in  the document, necessary detailed design- modification, manufacture/ assembly, arrangement  for inspection, testing at the supplier’s work  before dispatch, packing for export, transportation/dispatch and insurance, offloading at the destination, supply and delivery at the site, preconstruction site survey and investigations, foundation work, earthing, complete erection and installation, finishing, testing at the  site and  commissioning activities on the Aflive, Alorkpem and Azizakpe island Communities of the Ada East District  of the Greater-Accra Region.

    The time for completion of all the facilities will be Twelve  (12) Months from  the contract effective date.

    To be eligible for Award of Contract, Bidders shall provide satisfactory evidence to the Employer of their eligibility and of their capability  and adequacy of resources to carry out the  contract effectively. To this end, all Bids submitted shall include the following:

    1. Copies of original document defining the constitution of legal status, place of registration and principal place of business of the company or firm.
    2. Detailsof the experience  and past  performance of the Bidder on works  of similar  nature in the past five years, and  details  of current work in hand  and other  contractual commitments.
    3. Major items of contractual plant proposed for use in carrying out the contract.
    4. The qualifications and experience of key personnel proposed for administration and execution of the Contract both on and off site.
    5. Proposalfor subcontracting elements of the works amounting  to more  than 10per cent of the Bid  Prices for each element.
    6. Report on the financial  standing of the Bidder such as profit  and loss statements, balance sheets  and auditor’s reports  for the past three (3) years and a authority from the Bidder to seek reference  from  the Bidder’s bankers  and information regarding any current litigation in which  the Bidder is involved.
    7. Bidding will be conducted  through international  competitive  procurement using a Request  for Bids  (RFB) as specified  in internationally  recognized “Procurement Regulation”    and is open to all eligible Bidders
    8. Extension of Bid Closing Date: Bids were  due to be delivered to the address below on or before 10:00 hours on 13thDecember 2018but have  now  been extended to Tuesday, 8thJanuary 2019. Electronic  bidding will  not be  permitted. Late Bids  will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence  of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below at 10:00 Hours GMT  on Tuesday, 8th  January 2019.
