    Lead Riser Engineer

    Due to ongoing expansion and new contracts, Wood has an opportunity for a lead Riser Engineer, to join our dynamic, friendly team on contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a project in Ghana.

    Technical/ Business Skills-

    You will be required to work closely with the client and main contractor supporting the oversight of the main contractor for the design, procurement, manufacture and installation of new and replacement of risers. Work will include day-to-day interfacing with the main contractor and the client teams.

    • Experience of flexible risers client representative roles.
    • Performed similar delivery lead role for large flexible risers work scopes covering design, analysis, manufacturing, load out, installation and precommissioning.
    • Lead Company on-site representative at manufacturing facilities and vendor fabrication sites
    • Performed as client lead technical representative offshore.
    • Experience with projects in West Africa

    Key responsibilities:-

    • Delivery lead responsible for the package management of flexible riser; including design , manufacture, transportation and installation.
    • Responsibility for the management of flexible supplier and installation contractor , design engineers, Marine Warranty Suryevors, Vendor offshore representative and all technical interfaces related to risers scope.
    • Responsible for ensuring contractor strictly adheres to the requirement of the contract, international standards & project specifications. And that any deviances were in full compliance to the quality management system and project controls protocols.
    • Lead Company representative onsite for load –outs and transpooling operations and rotational leads Offshore Technical representative on Contractor construction vessels for execution of the installation phases

    Competency/ Skill Requirement s:-

    • Reliability, integrity, ability to deal with contractor under pressure
    • Good communication, self-motivated, strong, report writing skills
    • Knowledge and understanding of offshore Oil & Gas Operator Production operations and constraints.
    • Knowledge of oil and gas project safety and quality requirements and work practices
    • Knowledge of oil and gas production operations
    • Minimum 5-20 years ‘ experience , good tech understanding of flexible risers, including design and installation
    • Minimum Beng/Bsc

    Offshore Vessel Representative

    We are looking for an individual who is willing to take ownership and be hands-on where necessary. The role will be ideal for a person with experience in engineering and package management roles for Operators and leading installation Contractor’s within the oil and gas industry. Must be willing and able to travel internationally.

    The purpose of the position of the Offshore Vessel representative is to act as the company representative and focal point on- board a Construction Support Vessel (CSV).

    This role is to provide the Company oversight of all mobilization, walk to work and lifting operations on- board of the vessel by the contractor personnel; and to ensure these activities are complaint with approve project procedures and established Industry best practice.

    This role also provide prompt and accurate reporting of vessel activities to ensure that the DPR is a true representation of the activities on –board the vessel in the previous 24 hours.

    This a contractor facing role and this position is expected to liaise with various members of the offshore contractor organization as required.

    Technical / Business Skills:-

    • Promoting Client EHS standards and expectations through all stages of the works.
    • Delivering a strong EHS leadership and encouragement including ‘stop the job ‘ authority
    • Build strong relationships with the offshore Contractor personnel to maintain a high quality of performance through – personnel to maintain a high quality of performance throughout the   project
    • Acts as single point of contact on board CSV for emergency response and medevac.

    Key responsibilities

    • Interface with project Team and client Offshore/ FPSO Operations Team
    • Provide expertise / guidance on technical issues
    • Compile and distribute the client DPR
    • Maintain log of any operational issues and equipment downtime
    • Review and sign –off contractor DPR
    • Attend daily vessel meeting and daily project operational calls
    • Review and approve offshore MOCs with the support of on shore team, as required
    • Prepare and submit FPSO interface permits to OIM
    • Support and contribute lessons learned
    • Participate in regular area inspections with contractor vessel management team
    • Liaise and co-ordinate with Tullow on shore logistics team for port call activities and field supply runs

    Key skills:-

    • Significant proven experience (>15years)in a similar role
    • Experience working in close proximity of an FPSO
    • Computer literate and effective with ‘office’ software suite
    • Interpersonal skills in order to interact with and coordinate the activities of contractors and within own multi- discipline project team.
    • Current and valid offshore medical and survival certification including BOSIET or FOET
    • Minimum HND in relevant subject
    • Preferred areas of expertise:
    • Excellent knowledge, competency and ideally, experience with walk to work gangway operations and topside lifting operations
    • Good understanding of contractual best practices
    • Sound knowledge and application of international standards, codes of practice, legislation and industry best practice for offshore operations.
