    For close to a century, we have been opening Worlds of Opportunity around the globe and are currently seeking to hire a Maintenance Technician II with high pumping equipment experience (15,000 psi & above) in Ghana.

     

    Job Title:  M006-ESG-Maintenance Technician II

     

    Job Capsule:

    Under general supervision, maintains, diagnoses and repairs a variety of equipment including: diesel engines, transmissions, drive train components, winches, high pressure pumps, centrifugal pumps, sand conveyor systems, air compressors, microprocessor controls, electromechanical equipment, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, mobile/overhead cranes, wellhead attachments and pressure equipment, gearboxes, PTO’s, generators, chemical metering systems, 12/24v electrical systems, equipment cabs and controls, chassis and suspension, rims, tires and wheels, forklifts, A/C systems, and a variety of other energy services equipment. Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe, efficient and effective manner. Perform preventive/predictive maintenance procedures on Halliburton equipment. Performs inspections required by company, and government entities. Perform troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Installs and/or replaces new or reconditioned repair parts. Test equipment for proper operation. Performs own work and provides assistance to others as directed. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations. Skills are typically acquired through possession of a Technical School certificate and 10 years’ experience in related fields or equivalent experience in high pressure 15,000 psi pumping.

     

    Operational Responsibilities

    • Performs preventive/predictive maintenance procedures on Halliburton equipment
    • Performs inspections required by company, and government entities
    • Performs troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
    • Installs and/or replaces new or reconditioned repair parts
    • Test equipment for proper operation
    • Ensures total customer service Requires both shop and field work
    • Operates lifting devices
    • Requires understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic circuits/drawings/prints
    • Performs regulatory tank testing where required
    • Must complete proper paperwork as assigned
    • Perform other related duties as assigned
    • Ability to use diagnostic equipment (ie. DVOM, Cat ET, Pro Link)
    • Have working knowledge of electronic cables, connections and sensors
    • May be required to assist Maintenance Supervisor

    Qualifications

    • 10 years of experience required as a minimum in oilfield service industry with sound knowledge of Halliburton technologies and processes & equipment maintenance essential
    • strong knowledge of the entire line of Halliburton Internal Maintenance Equipment as applicable to deep-water environments and use of technical software & equipment such as Hydraulic Fracturing, Cementing deep water, Coil Tubing, Pumping & Pressure Services up to 15,000 psi & above pressures.
    • The candidate should have a strong engineering background with the ability to mentor local junior engineers to help the in-country training of personnel.
