    Specific Procurement notice –National Competitive Bidding

    Refurbishment and extension work of existing workshop building at Takoradi Technical Institute, Takoradi, Western Region, Ghana.

    Contract No: OGCBP/COTVET2/NCB/TTI/2017/02

    The Government of the Republic of Ghana(GoG) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of Oil and Gas Capacity Building Project(OGCBP) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payments under the Contracts for the Refurbishment and Extension works to Existing workshop Building at Takoradi Technical Institute Takoradi,  Ghana.

    The OGCBP now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Refurbishment and Extension works. The scope of the works involved also includes the following:

    Refurbishment Works

    • Removal of existing roofing including trussers
    • Extension of existing reinforced concrete columns to increase room height
    • Construction of new reinforced roof beams wooden trussers
    • Fixing of corrugated aluminum roofing sheets on wooden purlins.
    • Providing all ceiling floor, and wall finishing including painting and decorations
    • Fixinf all electrical and mechanical works associated with the works.

    Extension Work

    • Excavation of wall foundation and column bases.
    • Construction of Foundation and ground floor slab
    • Backfilling with approved imported material
    • Construction of reinforced concrete columns and roof beans and wooden trusses
    • Fixing of corrugated aluminium roofing sheets on wooden purlins
    • Providing all ceiling, floor and wall finishing including painting and decorations
    • Fixing of all electrical and mechanical work associated with the works.
    • Construction of associated external works comprising concrete pavements, drains, aprons and kerbs, septtics tank and soakaways

    Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines, Procurement of Goods , Works and Non-Consulting services under IBRD Loans and IDA credits and Grants by World Bank borrowers(April 2015) and is open to all eligible local bidders as defined in the procurement guidelines. In Addition please refer to Paragraph 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflicts of interest.

    Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from oil and gas capacity Building Project Ministry of Energy , Ministries, Accra and inspect the bidding document bring office hour i.e 0900 to 1600 hours at the Address 1 given below.

    A complete set of bidding documents in English language may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address 1 and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of GhC 300.00. The method of payment will be by cash payable to the Project Accountant, Oil and Gas Capacity Building Project, Room 011, Ground floor, Ministry of Energy, Ministries Accra.

    Bids must be delivered to the Address 2 below on or before 10:00am on 25 July 2017. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address 2 below 10:00am on 25 July 2017

    All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security/Bond of Fifteen Thousand Ghana cedis (GHC 15,000)
