Role: Public and Government Affairs Manager, Accra
A key position supporting ExxonMobil’s activities in Ghana.

Key Responsibilities
- Development effective implementation of integrated external engagement strategies
- Establish public and government affairs (P&GA) strategies, plans and budgets at country level, including community engagement, government relations, media, communications, issues management and emergency response support
- Provide strategic advice and identify and advance external opporutnities in Ghana for Lead Country Managers, visiting executives and other business clients
- Build relationships with external stakeholders in Ghana, incl9ding community members, government representatives and non-profit organizations
- Establish the ExxonMobil brand in Ghana and support the company’s reputation for operational excellence in Ghana
- Manage P&GA operating and contributions budget
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Affairs, government relations, political science, public policy, media relations, communications or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, including:
- Advising on African issues and prior experience working in Africa;
- Development and stewardship of social responsibility programs;
- Legislative and regulatory assessments and advocacy;
- Interaction with senior business executives, government officials and community leaders
- Media relations and communications
- Ability to communicate fluently in English and widely used languages in Ghana
