    Our client  Africa’s leading  independent  Oil and Gas Exploration and Production (E&P) Company with a diverse portfolio of assets across Africa as well as interest  in Europe , South Asia and South America is seeking to employ five (5) highly  experienced  supervisory  staff with proven  experience in Deepwater operations for a short term offshore drilling campaign (3-6months)

     

    NIGHT DRILLING SUPERVISOR (ref ZA:0064)

    THE ROLE

    Reporting to the Senior Drilling Supervisor, the job holder will manage the execution of rig site operations as per the programme to deliver the well objective safely and within budget.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage all rig operations associated with well delivery.
    • Manage all third-party contractors at rig site in their delivery of services and equipment to the operation.
    • Promote a safety culture  the harvest  world class EHS performance
    • Lead all incident investigations and ensure  incidents  and accidents  are promptly  reported
    • Manage the continuous improvement program offshore.
    • Manage operations and logistics to deliver well plans.
    • Provide technical input and offer engineered solutions to well problems

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in drilling and completions  with operating  companies
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Night Drilling Supervisor on offshore drilling units.
    • Subsea drilling and completions experience within the last 5 years preferably in deep water or ultra- deep water.
    • Proven experience  working on Dynamically Positioned 5+ generation  MODU with associated rig equipment knowledge
    • A valid Well Control certification  (IWCF Supervisor Subsea)
    • A valid survival certification  (BOSIET)
    • A degree in an engineering discipline , preferably  in mechanical/ petroleum engineering

    OFFSHORE EHS ADVISOR (ref ZA:0065)

    THE ROLE

    Reporting to the Drilling Supervisor the job holder will provide EHS support to the offshore Well Engineering team in all EHS responsibilities.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide support to Well Engineering team to  assure  integrity of emergency  preparedness and  be part  of site ER team
    • Ensure all incidents / accidents  are reported in a  timely  manner as per EHS reporting  procedures
    • Assist in HiPo incident investigation s and lead  smaller rig incident  investigation
    • Track all actions  resulting  from incident  investigation  to ensure  effective  close-out
    • Encourage and work closely  with drilling  contractors  and all service  providers  in the use  of Both  the company’s  and Drilling contractor rig safety systems.
    • Collate, record and report all EHS statistics to EHS team lead.
    • Monitor and drive compliance with Company Standards and Government Regulations

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum of a first degree or HND in Engineering discipline
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience  in a similar  role  supporting  Well Engineering operations
    • Minimum of 5 years’  experience  on offshore drilling units
    • Qualified user of incident  Investigation  tools
    • A valid survival certification (BOSIET)
    • Proficient in the use of IT and industry software including MS Suite
    • Well Control Awareness (IWCF subsea level 2)

    RIG DRILLING MATERIALS COORDINATOR (ref ZA:0066)

    THE ROLE

    Reporting  to the Drilling Supervisor, the job holder will provide logistical support to the offshore Well Engineering team  to ensure  all drilling  and completions  equipment and personnel are available  in time  to avoid  delays  to the  programme and to ensure equipment in returned in a  timely  manner.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Liaise with all third-party vendors and well Engineering team.
    • Determine , anticipate and consolidate short and medium-term requirements
    • Ensure that all equipment received is inspected certified and offloaded safely on arrival offshore.
    • Ensure sufficient inventory is available to support Well Engineering operations
    • Control the movement  of all company , third party , rental equipment and consignment stocks
    • Maintain material and assets control  register and  ensure full material reconciliations are carried out

     

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum of an HND or equivalent  qualification
    • Minimum of 5 years ‘experience as stand –alone responsible person for offshore logistics in an operated drilling environment.
    • Experience in Drilling and completions materials handling storing , identifying ,tracking and maintaining
    • Exposure to aviation and marine  related management
    • Awareness of spend profile in Well Engineering  operations
    • Must have good understanding of Well engineering process and offshore operations
    • Dangerous goods Requirement (incl IATA)
    • Lifting and Slinging LOLER level2
    • Proficient in the use of IT and industry software including MS suite

    RIG SUPERINTENDENT (ref: 0067)

    THE ROLE

    Reporting to the Well Delivery Manager, the jobholder will be responsible for providing day to day operations management of one or more rigs to deliver well objectives in accordance with the company’s standard and procedures in the safest& cost-effective manner

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Implement and monitor  EHS  plans  for all operations
    • Provide the day to day operational and technical expertise in rig operations including the design , execution  and post  job analysis as needed
    • Manage daily operations to ensure full understanding of issues, operational problems FIRs, cost etc.
    • Initiate and manage specialist projects for optimization and /or reduction in well cost.
    • Manage operations in the most cost-effective manner and cost control of all activates.
    • Plan for future wells and ensure required materials and services are available in country and allocated as required.
    • Ensure well hazard assessments  and operational hazard assessments and HAZOPs are conducted in accordance with the company’s requirements

    REQUIREMENTS

    • A first degree in an engineering discipline, preferably in mechanical/petroleum  engineering
    • A valid Well Control certification (at least IWCF Subsea Supervisory level)
    • A valid survival certification (BOSIET)
    • Minimum of 15years’ experience in Drilling Engineering/Operations with operating companies.
    • Subsea drilling experience within the last 5 years in deep water or ultra-deep water.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Rig Superintendent.
    • Minimum of 5 years previous experience working offshore in a supervisory capacity.
    • Knowledge of subsea completions preferably including running of intelligent completions, subsea well testing, and subsea tree/ landing string systems.

    SENIOR DRILLING ENGINEER (ref ZA:0068)

    THE ROLE

    Reporting to the Rig Superintendent the job holder will be responsible for providing overall drilling engineering support to the operation. The job holder will also be responsible for designing complex deep water wells, developing accurate and detailed drilling programs, providing engineering assistance in resolving problems and monitor performance of well operations against plan.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure EHS is inherent in all programming and well designs and is at the highest priority in programme delivery
    • Provide on-time well engineering services and technical expertise in drilling operations  including the design , execution and post job analysis as needed,
    • Plan future wells and ensure required materials and services are available in country and allocated as required
    • Generate outline and detailed Drilling Programme a well basis
    • Conduct specialist projects from time to time as reduction in well cost.
    • Facilitate pre-spud meetings
    • Perform well/operations hazard assessments and HAZOPs as required
    • Develop well cost estimates for AFE complicated and maintain cost control records and reports as required.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • A first degree in an engineering discipline, preferably in mechanical or petroleum engineering.
    • Minimum of 10years’ experience as a drilling engineer with operating companies.
    • Subsea drilling experience within the last five (5) years preferably in deep water or ultra-deep water.
    • Experience in design of complex 3-D subsea development wells in a mature area.
    • A Valid well control certificate (IWCF subsea supervisor)
    • A valid survival certification(BOSIET)
    • Proficient in the use of IT and industry software including Landmark and MS suite
