Kofi Amoa-Abban is an Oil and Gas entrepreneur, and philanthropist. Today, he is best known as the founder and CEO of RigWorld Group, a leading oil services business with operations across West Africa which was founded in 2011.
Kofi Amoa-Abban graduated from the University of Ghana with a degree in Psychology and proceeded to pursue a Master’s degree at Oslo University, where his interest in the oil industry was piqued following his native Ghana’s discovery of oil in 2007. He also served as a drill crew member with Atwood Hunter responsible for the TEAK1, TEAK 2, and Banda Wells.
Mr. Kofi Amoa-Abban is committed to ensuring the socio-economic development of his country, it was with this principle that originated the Rigworld Foundation (RWF) in 2015, providing aid to a church, two orphanages, and a school in Ghana.
Mr Kofi Amoa-Abban has over the years been recognised as a game changer in the extractive Industry. This has contributed to receiving six awards in 2016 for his exemplary dedication and diligence including Extraordinary Entrepreneur Award, Rising Star Award, CEO of the Year, and Oil and Gas Personality of the Year.
