  • PETROSOL, a privately owned indigenous Oil Marketing Company (OMC), has been given three awards by the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC) for its remarkable performance in Ghana’s highly competitive petroleum downstream industry.
These awards are: the Fastest Growing Oil Marketing Company 2016, the Marketing Personality of the Year 2016, which went to Mr. Kwasi Zigah, its Marketing & Supply Chain Manager, and the Overall Best Attendant Award which went to Miss Florence Nyarko, a service attendant at PETROSOL’s Ohwim Station in the Ashanti Region.
Presenting the award to the company at its office premises in Accra, the Executive Secretary of the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC), Mr. Duncan Amoah, was full of praise for PETROSOL for its Full Quantity Campaign it launched last year to educate consumers on how to check to ensure that they receive the right quantity from the fuel pumps and also the fact that PETROSOL as a company has consistently ensured that the consumer gets value for money at its stations nationwide.
He also indicated that notwithstanding the stiff competition and numerous challenges in the industry, NPA’s records show that PETROSOL has been able to weather the storm and has expanded its operations to extend its services to petroleum consumers in communities across the ten regions of Ghana.
Mr. Amoah further indicated that PETROSOL has also demonstrated its commitment to customer service by training and supervising its pump attendants to offer quality customer service. It is therefore not surprising that one of its service attendants has won the award for excellent customer service.
Responding, the Chief Executive Officer of PETROSOL, Michael Bozumbil, expressed PETROSOL’s appreciation to COPEC for the award, particularly because it is coming from the consumers of Ghana. According to him, “we wake up thinking about the consumer and go to bed thinking about the consumer”. Therefore, they are excited that the consumers appreciated their effort and that these awards will serve as a morale booster for them.
He paid glowing tribute to his team for their commitment and dedication to duty which has culminated in these awards.
Mr. Bozumbil assured the petroleum consumers of Ghana that PETROSOL will continue to get closer to them to know their needs and work assiduously to meet them.
