  • tlTullow Ghana Limited awarded a $500 million contract to Subsea 7 S.A. for engineering, procurement, fabrication and other work at Tullow’s TEN Project offshore Ghana.

The project is located in water depths of more than 6,500 feet, Scandinavian Oil and gas Magazine reported. The contract, which was awarded as a consortium of Subsea 7 and Technip, also includes the installation of more than 22 miles of pipe-in-pipe flowlines, related flowline termination structures and foundation piles structures.

Subsea 7 will also complete transportation and installation of manifolds, riser bases and flying leads, the source said.

Olivier Carré, senior vice president for Africa and Gulf of Mexico operations for Subsea 7, commented on the contract with Tullow.

“We are delighted to be awarded this contract which demonstrates Tullow’s confidence in our ability to deploy our technologies and assets to a large deepwater project offshore Ghana,” Carré said. “This contract award further expands our strong presence in West Africa into a new country of operations for Subsea 7.”

The TEN field is located about 37 miles off the coast of Ghana in the Deepwater Tano Contract Area, DowJones reported.
