The Ghana Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative (GHEITI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, Ghana Oil and Gas for Inclusive Growth (GOGIG) and other state and non-state institutions and development partners organizes roundtable discussions on the Beneficial Ownership for the middle belt of the country. The theme for the event is dubbed “Stakeholders’ Engagement on Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Process in Ghana”

The event is to ensure effective process and implementation of the act through public dialogue on the said subject. Participating regions include Brong Ahafo and Ashanti, forming the middle belt of Ghana. Participants from various institutions including state and non-state actors, international oil companies, civil society actors, media and other industry players will grace the occasion with their presence and offer invaluable insights to drive the discussion.

The objective of the event seeks to

    1. Sensitize stakeholders in two regions in the middle belt namely Ashanti and Brong Ahafo on the Ghana BO process.
    2. Provide updates on the implementation phase; and
    3. Build their capacities to understand the concepts and intricacies of BO so that they can monitor and also ask the right questions

The event is slated to take place at Golden Tulip Hotel, Kumasi from Friday, 16th March to Saturday, 17th March, 2018. The starting time for each of the day’s session is 8:30am.
